Metropolis magazine is challenging designers—in practice for 10 years or fewer—to apply their talents to respond to the urgent, worldwide need to save and protect the earth’s water supply. The competition asks those who design interiors, buildings, products, landscapes, and other aspects of the man-made environment to consider water in all of its forms—pure, gray, black—and our many points of contact with it. The designer or team whose idea is judged most innovative and practical for making the most efficient, life/environment -enhancing use of the precious and dwindling water resource will be awarded $10,000 and will appear in the pages of Metropolis.
