The Visual Design Department of Universidad de Caldas, calls to designers, artists, visual creators and researchers in interactive and digital media to participate in the IV Monographic Show of Media Art. The event will take place from April, 15 to April, 19 of 2008, as part of VII Internacional Image Festival.
The Visual Design Department of Universidad de Caldas, calls to designers, artists, visual creators and researchers in interactive and digital media to participate in the IV Monographic Show of Media Art. The event will take place from April, 15 to April, 19 of 2008, as part of VII Internacional Image Festival.
The Internacional Image Festival, that is stated in Manizales, Colombia, is a space for the expression of the contemporary practices of media arts creation. The event is the place to study the effect of digital visual creations in the information society and pretends not only to be the space for critical analysis, but also a place to interchange experiences around various narrative languages and the creative processes media generates. Living city is a project that explores how will cities develop in relation to responsive, intelligent buildings. It studies three definitions:
- A platform for the future when buildings talk to one another
- An exploration of the vitality of the city through new forms of public space—air and facade
- A prototype facade that breathes in response to air quality
